After the devastation of Sunday in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district due to a glacier burst, an early survey of the area affected shows that the Tapovan Dam has been largely swept away. Media reports quoting Indian Air Force sources said that the dam, that's located 280 km east of state cpaital Dehradun, is destroyed.
